Today marks 40 years since the Chernobyl disaster is one of the most devastating man-made tragedies in human history.
On April 26, 1986, the world changed forever. The explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant claimed lives, shattered the destinies of thousands, and left a deep mark on the memory of entire generations. The consequences of this tragedy are still felt today in nature, in history, and in human memory.
We bow our heads in respect for the courage of the liquidators who, risking their own lives, stood to protect others. We honor the memory of those who did not survive this catastrophe and express our gratitude to all who worked to overcome its consequences.
Chernobyl is`t only a tragedy but also a reminder of humanity’s responsibility toward nature, technology, and future generations.
We remember. We honor. We don`t forget.
